If your baby is below 2-3 years old, they should wear soft sole shoes because it is good for their foot development. Shouldn't wear the normal hard sole shoes cos it stifles growth. This is recommended by paediatricians but not many people knows abt this in M'sia. I didn't know abt that until my baby was 18 months old and I saw an article online. I had to buy the soft sole shoes online as it wasn't available in Malaysia and it cost a bomb due to the shipping charges! Think now got some brands available in the shops so no need to pay crazy $$ online.

You can check out PAPAYAYAS they have realliii cute designs :) I saw their soft sole leather shoes in Bebehaus in Plaza Damas (Hartamas) and its only 79.90. The blue doggie is very adorable for boys.

Btw, don't confuse with the cloth or PVC (fake leather) soft sole shoes. Those are cheaper but are mainly for infants below 1, not for walking babies or those learning to walk. Plus PVC will make it hot and sweaty for your precious' feet! The Bebehaus one is made of natural leather.
