Value added service for nursery/kindergarten - 2007/09/04 16:50

Hi all,

Appreciate views as for what would you like to have as a value added item in the nursery/kindergarten that you send your children?

For example, some might like the idea of having 'bakery time' as one the class activities.

So, what do you think?

Hi!

Kindergartens offering extra programmes apart from the standard academic ones would be very beneficial to kids. I would like my kid to be exposed to more than just 1-2-3 and a-b-c.

I noticed a lot of kindies offering Mandarin, art, maths and computer classes as extra items that parents have to pay for. It would be nice if kindies, especially those who double up as day care centres, offer these and other programmes bundled into their fees. After all if extra programmes are carried out, the kids will be well occupied, and should be easier on the teachers to handle. It will also save the "kiasu" parents the hassle of sending them all over the place for these classes on weekends.

That's my thoughts.. any feedback?
April

How about gardening, baking, cooking, painting, handicrafts, etc?
